We Thought More Adventurers Would Write With Us … But Maybe It’s Not Too Late.
At Pax Travel Tweaks, we had hoped—really hoped—that a community of bold, curious, travel-happy souls would leap at the opportunity to share their stories. We imagined inboxes full of firsthand dispatches from back alleys in Florence, treks through misty Andean trails, and quiet cafes in cities people rarely pin on their maps. But, truthfully? That hasn’t happened yet.
And still we remain—rooted, resilient and ready. Ready for the renegades, the planners, the hostel-hoppers and carry-on-only champions. If you’ve ever whispered “I want more from travel” and meant it, maybe it’s time you finally wrote it down, and sent it our way. Let this be the spark.
Why Write for Pax Travel Tweaks?
Maybe you’ve read the glossy travel mags and thought, “This isn’t what it felt like for me.” Or maybe you’ve nailed the art of scoring flights at half the posted cost and wondered if anyone out there might benefit from your wizardry. You’re the kind of voice Pax Travel Tweaks was built to uplift.
Founded by Zyphara Ollvain, we exist to cut through the noise and deliver authentic destination highlights, practical core travel advice, and gear reviews that go beyond fluff. We’re headquartered at 4699 Bartlett Avenue in Detroit—but our heart is global. We operate 9 AM to 5 PM, but our curiosity never clocks out.
You Should Write If You…
- Feel a twinge in your chest when others describe your favorite city all wrong.
- Plan your trips around the unknowable (great road food, surprise concerts, fabric stores in basements).
- Can detail a flight-hack strategy like it’s a military operation—because it is.
- Think the right daypack or portable charger can absolutely make or break a trip.
- Want to share the kind of hidden gem insights travelers won’t find in a guidebook, no matter how thick and colorful.
We’re not looking for travel agents’ blog posts or chatbot-generated listicles. We want real things you’ve seen, tasted, tripped over, and treasured.
What Kinds of Pieces Fit Best?
Contributors who thrive here typically find themselves drawn to subject matter like:
- Underrated travel tips that solve real problems, from packing inefficiencies to airport chaos.
- Personal journeys that turned into practical advice without losing the spark (or the blisters).
- Seasoned reviews of gear and accessories that made you go “finally!” or… “never again.”
- Quick hits on “what no one tells you” about a hotspot listed on every must-see list.
- Thoughtful responses to the ethical questions we all wrestle with mid-itinerary (hello, creating impact together).
Does that sound like your corner of the map? Then maybe, just maybe, we were waiting for you.
We Respect the Craft
We know what it means to work hard on a piece only to see it skimmed, skipped, or misunderstood. At Pax Travel Tweaks, we built our editorial guidelines with care, and we expect contributors to read and follow them. But beyond structure is substance—and we promise consistently fair editing, transparent feedback, and when deserved, enthusiastic promotion across our platforms. Respect matters. Protocols matter. And your voice? It definitely matters.
How to Submit
We’re keeping it mercifully simple (because submitting your brainchild shouldn’t be harder than surviving a layover in Doha):
- Send your pitch or fully drafted article to [email protected].
- Use a subject line like “Travel Contribution: [Your Title Here]”.
- Attach any supporting photos (original only, please) with clear captions.
- Include a brief intro about yourself. If you’ve written before, great. If not, also great.
It might take us up to two weeks to respond. Not because we don’t care. Quite the opposite. We’ll read it carefully because we’ve seen too much junk masquerading as travel writing, and we refuse to add more to the pile.
The (Modest) Perks of Joining the Pax Fold
- Exposure through our growing audience build program.
- A creator-first culture that welcomes new perspectives, weird ideas, and honest experiences.
- A chance to influence the direction of future series, such as our technology planning board and The Future Starts Here travel initiative.
- Possible inclusion in our ongoing Entrepreneur Growth Workshop, especially for travel freelancers building a brand.
We offer a small honorarium for accepted posts—and while you’re not going to retire on it, we believe good writing deserves more than just “exposure.”
And If You’re Still Thinking About It…
We get it. Procrastination is real. Doubt is loud. But the travel stories that live only in your notebook are the ones readers might need most. Every voice that remains silent makes this space a little quieter—less connected, less true.
You’ve hovered over “send”. You’ve bookmarked this Writers Join page. Let this be the moment you move. Send us something you care about. Let us care about it too.
Contact Us
If you have questions, we’re not hiding behind a contact form. You can email us directly at [email protected], or reach out through our We’re Here to Assist You hub.
Still looking for the right moment to begin? Maybe there’s no such thing. Maybe the idea was already ready—and it’s the writer who needs the push. That’s what we’re offering. A push, a place, and a promise.
